The Villa Macugnana is a romantic gem in a breathtaking alpine scenery. The traditional Walser-House is characterized by its traditional timber construction. Wood paneled interiors and enchanted balconies, a large garden and the view of the Monte Rosa offer pure relaxation. In summer, Macugnaga is an impressive hiking area. Discover ibexes, marmots, chamois, ermines and eagles in the protected area of Macugnaga, ride the cable car to the glacier Belvedere for spectacular trails or visit the Val Quarazza, where the trails lead gently through the woods and around the lake. And in less than one hour you can reach the Lago Maggiore area with famous hoztspots like Stresa. In winter, two ski areas and a large cross-country ski network can be found in Macugnaga. Macugnaga offers a wide selection of winter sports, from heliski to skating rink, from snowshoe hike to freeride. There is no wish left open.
The Walserhaus with partly dated wooden beams from the 17th century is laid out over two floors. The 80sqm interior has a living room with a large fireplace, a cozy dining room with a traditional fireplace, a small well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, washing machine, etc.), a bathroom with shower and a separate WC. In the upper floor there are four bedrooms (2 x with double bed, one single bed and a four-bed room (2x2 bunk beds). The large garden around the house offers a sunny lawn and shaded spots under the old trees with deck chairs and dining area with barbecue. Also four-legged guests are welcome here.
Your car is in the large free public car park at the edge of the peaceful hamlet 50 m away. The comfortable gas central heating, the tiled stove and the large fireplace also make relaxing holidays possible in winter.
